Barry S. Jandebeur writes from Kingfield Cottage in Ogunquit, Maine and from Cobb Farm Cabin in Bartlett, New Hampshire. His latest novel, Survive or Die Trying was released in July of 2019. His previous books include The Middle of Nowhere, In My Father’s Shadow, and At The Hands of Others.

Barry’s writing delves into the warmth and compassion of mankind as his characters seek to unravel the intricacies and complexities of their lives. His passion for the outdoors, seen throughout his work, engages his characters with the natural world we are all so privileged to share.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Barry traveled the world as a son of a U.S. Naval officer. Leaving home at sixteen, he settled in Maine. After a tour in Vietnam with The United States Marine Corps, he returned to marry his high school sweetheart.

While his two daughters attended college, Barry completed his degree in English at The University of Southern Maine.

Having gently emancipated himself from the bonds of a self-employed career, he spends his time pursuing his passions, writing being the foremost.
